We sing at Christmas all the carols, While we gather round the fire. Laughing, drinking, cheering, Pretend that it's all alright. You're a liar.

You know people somewhere are starving, They haven't eaten for days on end. What we do with our money and food, Is what they do greatly depend.

Some people are homeless and lonely, Living in a box at the top of the street. They don't know how much longer they'll live, No one knows what in their future they'll greet.

Sure we can have a good drink or two, But you don't know how they feel. They're licking up drops of things we've spilt, And they hunt bins to find a meal.

We can give presents to whoever we like But for them it's not quite the same. If they like someone they have to use words, Are we the ones to now blame?

Go and have your Christmas dinner, But maybe just spare a thought. Don't spend loads just use your mouth, Use words; not the presents you bought.
