6 February 2013

Standing at the automatic doors,

Hearing laughter and uproars.

People walking everywhere,

There's little room; where's the air?

Bags of all the different sizes,

Full of objects, gifts, surprises.

People thin, short, fat or tall,

Walking round like they have it all.

Used their money without owning any,

Scrounging purses for every last penny.

Men dragging behind wondering why,

They couldn't stay home with a piece of pie.

Queuing up waiting to reach the pill,

It's all so stressful; is there a shopping pill?

Tapping feet, impatient souls,

Shopping to achieve life goals.

Who can spend the most in a single day?

Wasting the months budget away...

The shoppers life isn't for me,

I'd rather stay home with my scones and tea.
