Silent rain softly falls,

Just as moonlight peacefully calls,

Calls to the withering nature around,

Concrete replaces soft tender ground,

Cities take over, buildings arise,

Nature escapes us, hiding from mans eyes,

Resorts cover cliffs, shadowing the sand,

The world warms, ice caps melt,

Mankind is losing the compassion it felt.

Flowers will bloom, feathers moult,

One day nature will revolt,

Birds will sing out, soaring the sky,

Shrubs will grow, weeds shoot high,

Creep and crawl to re- take our ground,

Re-grow through Tarmac, wind all around,

Rain cleanses the grime, reshapes the land,

Roots break the dull concrete gloom,

Nature will spell out mankind's doom.
