From the coxes' seat there is a wonderful view,
Water and space surround you.
In front is 'stroke' the clock of the boat,
Keeps us in time whilst we stay afloat.
Next is 3 for the power and speed,
Followed by 2- another great need.
Finally 'bow' is the assistant for steering,
Without any speakers they need great hearing!
'Hard on red' and 'hard on green',
I shout as I travel through the beautiful scenes.
Coxing requires the ability to shout,
A cox, a quad struggles to live without.
Although we're small we can take control,
The cox is a very important role.
