After the surfing lesson finished I took off my wetsuit and started to towel dry my hair. A few minutes later Shelly ran up to me looking excited. Her wet hair was whipping back and forth with every stride.
"Clove! Clove!", Shelly Yelled, happily. "James asked me to come to a barbecue party with him tomorrow night!" Shelly had fancied James for years so this was a big deal for her. "Oh my god Shelly! What are you going to wear?", I said enthusiastically. "Um well I was thinking that I could maybe yet ready at your house, if that's okay with you?",Shelly asked while giving me puppy dog eyes. "yeah sure, you can come doing any time after four o'clock", I replied taking my phone that had just buzzed out of my bag. It was from Shelly's twin sister Lindsey who hadn't come today as had planned to go to the cinema with her friends. "Shelly, Lindsey text me to say that you weren't answering your phone and that you need to rush home because your neighbour Margret needs you to babysit.",I explained to Shelly. She yanked off her wetsuit , pulled on her shorts and top then headed home.
I decided to walk home which took at least an hour. By the time I got to my house I was really tired and as soon as I lay on my bed I fell straight to sleep. When I eventually woke up it was six o'clock and I had a new message on my phone from Harry. He invited me to go to a Sydney Swans rugby game with him and Luke tonight as he had an extra ticket. I loved watching rugby so it was a no brainer. After I text him to say I'd go I had a shower as I still hadn't washed after being in the sea. I dried my hair then ate a ham sandwich as I hadn't eaten since breakfast.
I then curled my glossy dark brown hair which fell down to just above my shoulders. I pulled on my rugby jersey and a pair of denim shorts then put on some pink lipgloss, mascara and blusher. I still had a while before before Harry and Luke were picking me up so I painted my nails red to match my jersey.
About an hour later they arrived at my house to take me to the game.
