I walked into the apartment and threw my keys down. "Alex, I'm home."
"Kitchen!" he yelled.
I walked in to see him making something for dinner.
"Awe, thanks hun."
He grinned and kissed me. "Whens the appointment? I want to go."
I thought, trying to recall the phone call. "Thursday. At 4."
He nodded and hugged me. "So are we going to ask if it's a boy or girl? Or wait?"
I thought. I kinda wanted to know. "We should ask, so that we know what clothes to buy him or her."
He smiled. "I'm just worried about the video. I think taking the job was a mistake."
I sighed. "Me too. No matter how much money they paid."
He snapped his fingers. "That reminds me, I got the bonus checks from them. And an offer to do more of us two, but I said probably not until the baby was born and a few years old."
I nodded. "Good idea."
The timer on the oven beeped. "Dinner's ready."

Alex was a good cook. He made some type of fancy fish. Whatever it was it was good.
"Uh, Scarlett.." he stopped laughing from something i had said. "There's something I need to say."
He took a sip of his champagne, I hadn't even yet. I picked up the glass and glanced at it. There was something at the bottom..
An engagement ring.
"Will you marry me?"
