"Today we are learning about the tubes of lava inside volcanoes. We have some questions then a film to watch." Mr walice droned to 12BA. Bethan was sat at her desk next to Alana. "If you turn to page 56 of the Natural World text books im sure you'll find the questions sutably challenging." Bethen opened her book and let her eyes float across the page as she skim read all the infomation, but then she got to something interesting.
It wasnt offen Bethan saw something interesting. Normaly in geography she was compleately board and ended up doodeling absailers on the cliff faces and sharks in the worlds major ocians and seas.
Her book said this,
St Ann's school was built on top of Mt St Ann's in 1982. The mountin was thort to be an extinct volcano...
Just then Alana interupted her reading.
"WOW! I never knew this school had such an interesting histoy!"
Bethan continued.
... But later new technology alowed geographists to send small probes into the volcano to see what made it extinct. The probes cane back with some very interesting readings. The volcano was dormant, and by some time in 2015 the school would have to evacuated. Although that is two years off what preperation could the staff make? How can we get more acurate than 2015? Bethans reading was interupted again but this time by vilent rumbles from the ground bellow her. The volcano must have become active erliar than expected! The fire allarm screached and smoke filled the room.
"I can't see!" Mr Walice yelled and Bethan jumped up on top of the tables.
"GET UP TO THE NEXT FLOOR!" someone shouted but the coridoor had colapsed, blocking the route to the stairs.
"Follow me!" Bethan called and she pulled a torch out of her poket shining it through the smoke. 31 frightened eyes watched her as she made her way onto a table.
Another earthquake happened and the roof fell down blocking half the class room off but it gave her an escape rute. Bethan pulled Alana over hellping her to get to the floor above where she could climb down the other stairs to safty. She spun round and grabbed Chloë but realued Joe was trapped behind the rubble. She dropped Chloë and ran for Joe but a blast of lava shot through the floor where he was standing. The carpet beneeth her was peeling away into the magmary pit of the volcano. All her class mates had climbed up to the next floor but Bethan was trapped. She ran towards the corrner...
As her whole class looked in disbalif.
"BETHAN CROMMLY!" Mr Walice shouted." I said the class would be staying in at break!" Bethan looked around at the oddly ungratefull classroom.
"but... But i just saved your life Mr Walice!" Bethan said as the whole class exploded in laughter.
"your constant A+ grade cirtanly does Bethan but violent behaveure will not be forgiven! You can stay in at lunch break too for ansering back."
Bethan sat down confused.
"You jerk!" Alana said turning her head back to her book.
The class was normal, Joe wasn't there and Alana hatted her. What was going on?
