Jemma and Lilly-Ann sat down in the front room wilst Sam came in.
"Hi Jemma" Sam said and sat down with them "oh Lilly-Ann i diddnt think i would see you again!" Sam was the social worker that had tryed to help Alana ages ago.
"you know him!" Jemma said shocked
"so i understand you two got in some trouble with the police?" Sam said
"no." Jemma said furios
"yes" Lilly-Ann said pulling Jemma back into her seat. "but they sorted that out you dont have to."
"im afraid we do." Sam said "we need to put it on you file Jemma and you Lilly-Ann have to go back to your mum" she wasnt expecting that.
"i dont live with mum any more." there was an orcward silence "i got put in care."
"do you want me to ring them."
"NO! She dosent!" Jemma roared standing up again.
"Let Lilly-Ann speack for herself." Sam said amazingly still keeping his cool even now.
"i would rather stay here with Jemma." Lilly-Ann said looking up to him with big puppydog eyes
"well see. How much trouble did you get into?"
"just a tiny bit of shop lifting thats all." Lilly-Ann said.
"and how did this work?" Sam asked
"none of your business." Jemma said saving Lilly-Ann from giving away their entire life in crime
"well i think you two are a bad influence on eachother and i think Lilly-Ann should go back to her own care home. Sorry girls." he stood up to leave but Jemma stoped him
"please Sam. Give us a chance." Sam looked down at them.
"ok one day but i have to check with Lilly-Anns old home and her mum and yours and Lilly-Anns social worker and check if we have room AND if there is even tge suspision of bad behavure from either of you Lilly is going to have to move." Sam waited for tge replyes
"Thats ok" Lilly-Ann said "but my name is Lilly-Ann not lilly." she added and then looked at Jemma hoping for the reply she wanted.
"ok" she said
"good then you girls need to introduce yourselves to the other kids." Sam signaled for them to follow him so they did. He led them up the stairs to the thrird room on the right "Jemma this is your new room Lilly-Ann can you come with me to get the camping bed just for now we can get you a proper one later." Jemma walked in disaponted and sat on the floor. This wasnt her old room what happened to fith on the left? She looked around it was a nice room with a bed and a wordrobe and lots of other normal ferniyure items, better than anything she could have stolen. She was disapointed that it wasnt teibble but why? Mabbie if it was worse she would have an excuse to run away again. Just then Lilly-Ann walked back in with an air bed.
"Hi Jemma can you help us move this?" Sam asked but Jemma sat there compleately ignoring him wilst they plunked an air bed down next to her. "do you want to come and meet the other kids?"
"I know them all." Jemma said
"six miths is a wile there are lots of new faces and im sore Lilly-Ann would like to have your opinion on the ones you already know."
"She doesnt want to go. She can see them all at dinner." Jemma shot back and pulled Lilly-Ann into the room.
"ok then" Sam said and he wandered of to go and help out the other people. Jemma instantly cheered up and started smilling.
"You still got the gold?" Jemma asked.
"What was the point in this if weere going back to crime already?" Lilly-Ann said berwildered by the sudden mood swing in her friend.
"well i thort that two but were not hurtimg any one are we? Were helping them! Do you still have it?"
"yes but were going to get split up over this you know."
"not if we dont get cort heres that plan, theres a kid here called Nina BIG bully anyway she has a temoer problem and i wad thinking if you pretended to have behavural isues you could get on the soft side of Sam just like she does."
"I dont like were this is going Jemma, and i dont think your friend Nina is pretending." Lilly-Ann said running away from the plan maker and onto the bed wich she enjoyed jumping around on (i know its unusual for a 16 year old but she hadnt seen a bed in six months)
"does it matter? Your 16 so you'll be moving out of this place soon anyway start crying alone obe day and tell Sam you want to see your old home, plant the gold there and voila! One free sister." Jemma looked at her watch "and wada you know its tea time lets go." Lilly-Ann got off the bed and walked towards the door just then Jemma spun around almost scaring her to add some things to the plan "oh we also need to find out who has the fith room on the left and i pretened to be stropy infront of Sam so he leaves me alone most of the time." with that they walked down the stairs but Lilly-Anns head was still buzzing with questions. She had explained Jemmas mood swings but she had only seen the other chillderen, she knew from telly that care homes were horrible or were they? She suposed she would find out her last one was full of gangstas so she had desided it wasnt typical but she had no other expiriance so mabie it was. Lilly-Ann was just so nervous she fainted. On the stairs right there before tea. Sam came to see what the bang was amd when he found out it was Lilly-Ann hitting the floor the whole house whent into panic.
