There is a strategy game online called Empire, where you are a Lord of the Castle & recruit forces, collect taxes & forge tools. As well as that you build dwellings, towers & decorative items. You create these using wood & stone which is always being made. My name is Fennie & I had been using Empire for about 9 months. I was Level 12 XP (Experience Points) into the game & was a sergeant of a pretty strong alliance. Its members were loyal & had much more experience than me. They sent me tips on defences & sieges, & if it wasn't for them I would be dead by now. I was doing so well... It was 2012, the greatest sporting summer of Great Britain. I thought it was bad enough that I was in another country at that time, Malaysia, but I gave little concern of my virtual life. You see, I was beginning to go off it at that time & my activity was dropping fast. It wasn't having an impact then. So I went to Malaysia without Empire on my mind. Two weeks in, I was staying at my adult cousin's home in Kuantan. There was internet oppurtunity there so I logged into my email immediately. I wasn't greeted with good news:
"Your castle needs you!" "Your people are missing you, Fennie!" "Your castle has fallen"
That last one filled me with dread. I clicked on the hyperlink which took me directly to empire. I was shocked: my castle had started again. It was bare except for the main building & a lone woodcutter. It took me a while to realise that my Coat of Arms was different & the alliance was gone. I had turned to Level 1 so I couldn't go on the world map, so I went on the alliance rankings & searched my old. "This alliance does not exist!" What?! So I went onto the general rankings & searched all the members I remember. The reply was the same for all of them, "This player was not found!" WTF?? OMG!!! Several possibilities crossed my mind: the alliance had grown tired of my not being active & so kicked me out, but the alliance was loyal no matter what; the Emperor took me away from my own world; or the Emperor is really annoyed & took away everything so that I would buy rubies with cash. This was the reason I went with, so I made it my unlikely ambition to overthrow him, him & only him. I quickly leveled up to 6 so I could join another alliance to do this.
