This Is for Beth because she needs somehelp. Acording to her anyway.
1. Chose a topic, in your case apples.
2. Deside a type... Narative, random, descritibe etc although i sometimes change bettween the two or start writing and see what happens. You chose descripive.
3. Write one line and DONT THINK ABOUT IT just write anything about anything of any lencth you like. Lets go with Apples in Pies.
4. Now you have a choice. Will the next line ryme or not? If no go to PART TWO
5. List all tge wors you can think of that ryme with pies. So... Ties lies dies crys byebyes flys hi's the easyest way to do this is put a ransom constanant infront off the word ending EG. bies cies dies fies. Oviusly sometimes spelling changes, crys, and put it at the end of your sentance. Apples in pies, means as the apple crys... It doesnt have to make sence because you can finnish your sentance in the next line.
6. Now you deside if you want to change the sentances. EG an apple in a pie makes an apple cry. Taking out the plural mean it makes more sence so keep it that way or go back to the other version and finnish it. Another way to change it would be pies contain apples, because it goes the other way round but apples is hard to ryme. Apples grapples happles. This works the other way round too, if you cant ryme something add a plural or swap the order so you can.
7. MORE CHOISES! to ryme or not to ryme? Its easyer to stop the ryme there unless the lines are short. In this poem the lines are short so its fine but personaly i woyld still stop. So it couldsound like this, an apple in pie, makes an apple cry, because its apple freind... Remember YOU CAN USE HALF SENTANCES.
8. so you can stop here if you didnt use a half sentance but i did so i now have two options end tge verce by ryming the last line EG because its apple freind, is going to meet its end. Or i could ryme the first line EG makes an apple cry, because its apple freind, is going to die. TADA FOUR LINES DONE
9. Most people end the verce here because it feels naturaly rounded bur six lines is also a good number and its realy easy to add a fith and sixth. Just explain why this relates to the first and second with the same ryme pattern.
An apple in a pie
Makes an apple cry
Because its apple freind
Is going to die
And that is why
I dont eat apple pie
See!
10. This is a poem in its own right but you can add othe verces in PART THREE and it only toulk 10 steps!
