A strange thing happened a short time back.....it began to snow and as soon as it had settled down, covering the country in a spectacular white carpet, as if by magic, families came out to play. Children of all ages all excited by this winter wonderland. Truly wonderful to see.

As if this white fluffy substance had suddenly transformed not only the country but us people too.... I was left wondering where all these friendly people had been hiding! It appeared as if everyone had bought dogs, the park suddenly filled with pet owners, where had they been before the snow arrived, left in gardens perhaps?

My pooch loves to walk and soon let's me know if he has not been out enough, yet with the snow, he seems to become a totally different pet, he will dash after snow balls, take a huge bite of it once he catches it, and is then ready for the next one. He ends up with snow balls on his ears and paws too - I am sure he must be cold but he is always ready to get out there again and again, as if this fluffy stuff is calling him.

Alas , all too soon this spectacular white carpet is gone and soon the weather turns to the rain, beautiful sunshine and so on...... I really hope that I will once more meet some of these friendly people that I have met when it snowed...... perhaps when it rains, when the sun is warming us, or when it is just downright freezing.

One thing is certain, when the snow arrives, we all forget that it is winter and come out to play.
