Is this a child who is wild?
Is this a child who is destined to be abused and used?
The answer is no, but where will they go?
Must they be rejected, left on the street?
Knowing the hardships each day they must greet.
They need protection and correction...
From the life on the street where all kinds of beasts they might meet.
Children from from all walks of life are subject to strife.
Children are lied to, bribed, lured away, deprived,
A lot of precious children have died....How many parents have cried?
Being poor, drugged or drunk simply does not alter the fact
That we adults simply don't know how to act.
AFRICA!
Stop the madness,
Let's avoid the sadness.
Let's take each other by the hand,
Protect our future, who are the children of this land.
