There is an old tree That stands on the lawn. Its branches are bare And its bark is torn. The blossoming violets In a circle quite small. They circle the tree, The tree that's so tall.
Withered leaves and crooked branches, Snow falls in mini avalanches. Undergrowth with paw prints scattered, Mud and rain on tree trunks splattered.
A break in the clouded sky, A crack in the clouds that passed by. A rainbow of light shadowed the land With a reach of its colourful hand.
The wind on your face in the trees in your hair. Its circled around the earth always been there. It may stop in one place for a day or two. Then it starts racing straight back to you.
So much changes when spring finds its way. Pass do the whites and the dankly dull greys. Remain does the rain but the sunshine comes with. In a splendorous fashion, that the flowers shall live.
