I felt a lump in my throat, and I hoped that the tears wouldn't fall over my cheeks. But no tears came.
This never ending cycle of being awake for a minute, then being asleep for hours was really starting to annoy me. It continued for a week. Then gradually I managed to sit up, stand even.
This is the beginning of a short story I'm writing about a man figuring out the rest of his life.... I left home for the first time since the accident.
