Today it struck me, something so horrible, so stereotypical. As far as I am aware there are no books with dragons starring in them that are set in the present day (I apologise if this is wrong).
I lay in my bunk for exactly four hours. Supposedly the minimum amount of sleep required to function. I lay awake the entire time, listening to the buzz of mining lasers.
He desperately needed water. For days now, he had been trapped here. Stuck inside this mechanical tomb. All power to the machine had been drained whilst in mid-flight.
I gaze up at the crimson-coloured lights above me. Smells of rust and oil waft through my mind as I turn in the tepid, ventilated air, arching my back to massage the part that hit the floor.
