I was fishing with my friend a few days ago, it was going perfectly, the sun was in the sky and the clouds were passing over like gentle feathers on the wings of a bird.
It was a roasting hot summers day, the kind of day that comes only two, maybe three times a year, the ones that you cherish as a child and hope they never end.
It doesn't seem too long ago, even though I was just 7 years old. It was a beautiful day; one of those unnaturally hot summers that stay with you for a long time.
