Its eyes shined from the gloom; twinkling orbs of malice. They sat frozen in place, focused on the boy. Sonny was soaked in sweat. He had no idea what to do, no plan of escape.
~This is a small excerpt from a story I am working on.
They come through the darkness. Creeping through the shadows. Silently they slip through the trees. Hunting, watching, waiting. They live as a family. Together from the time they’re born.

"Maria. Take the wheels while I open the hatch. We need to get him in here!", Rose yelled. Maria threw herself into the piloting chair and grabbed a hold of the stick.

Drag me down into the darkness. Watch me as I scream and cry. Laugh and tell me I'm loveless. Then leave me to slowly die. They enslave me in chains. Bound by the wrist. Tightening on my veins.
Rax dashed through the rain as lightning shattered the sky and thunder boomed through the forest. He ran and ran and ran. They were coming, he could sense it. They were getting closer.
A few days later, Mia and James had created a trustful bond between them. Mia was still uncertain of James but all was well. However, the pair were struggling to find food.

For miles I walked that day, I walked and walked, not even stopping to take in my surroundings. The sky was grey, the air, filled with a wiff of despair.
After about half an hour, with 27 doors smashed, we decided to have a break, our feet filled with aches, sores, pains and blisters.
I warn you, for people who don't like gore I suggest not reading this, although I don't think it's too bad.
