The door closed with a creak and shut behind me, -I hadn't moved an inch, something wrapped past me. Stains on my hands, red gluke of fear, my Jekyll cursed my Hyde with tainted grunts of jeer.

"Where's mommy?" The voice should have been angelic, several octaves higher than the sound that emanated from the child's mouth, my child, my son.
Cold sweat. Quiet screams. Make believe threats. From demented dreams. Blood and fears. From ghosts unseen. Wake me in tears. From the murky in-between. I'll sit here and panic. Alone in my bed.
