Been reading up on contemporary poetry. Here is my first stab at it. Near as I can tell, if it confuses and annoys the reader then it's contemporary poetry.
No one loves me like Matty. In all my darkest parts. Beneath the layers of my hearts. One for Matty. And one for my art. No one is as precious as my Matty. His emerald eyes show.
A sweet symphony. One that blows in the trees. The shush of the grasses blades. A soothing tune. Like water trickling in a stream. A small breeze through my hair. The sea salt in the air.

We use the word home a bit too freely. So I ask myself where is my home really. Is it the house I grew up in, soon to be left behind. Or is it the one I'll move into when its my time.
