A whisper in the hallways, A grey smudge in the yard, Not solid and not touchable, Not see-through yet not hard.

A misty morning has broken. Can't see too much at all. Streetlights turn the damp. Into lampshades as it falls. A dawn devoid of colour. Predominantly grey. Shadows black and blurred.
Silky amber light fills the small room. Tentacles on inky blackness cast away by a golden glow. Ebony shadows flicker and flash on the ivory wall. Searing hot wax drips down the long candle.
