Cost Of Comfort
#beginningline
#nightdwellers
As the snow melted, I wept in awe. We'd never seen so prodigious a thaw. Thinking the melting we witnessed was sad,
We never imagined the truth was this bad.
Wildfire
It all happens,
From a tiny spark,
When it starts to climb,
The tree bark. When the leaves are dry,
And it gets too hot,
And rain. I think not.
#7. Dust
Blinding me. Cuts on my body. It's pitch back out. On a Sunday morning. Can't walk without tripping. I stumble back inside. Winds howling through the house. Dust piercing me. It's everywhere.
Legacy
Daddy is it true that when
you were little, just like me
there were birds and bees and butterflies
and fishes in the sea.
