An alligator worked out it's top of the food chain. He hid in the swampy rivers and reeds in the rain. Silent and still waiting for its prey. Along swam a crocodile with no fear today.
What's the point in running. Why don't you just hide. They're coming anyway. Swimming in the tide. They are faster than humans. Stronger than us too. They know how to hunt us. You know it's true.
This is my first attempt at a short story, so don't laugh...but please feel free to criticise with honesty. I've written it in 3 short chapters rather than in separate posts. Chapter 1.
