(Rewritten version of The Angel). They see me in the moonlight. They see me in the sun. I scare them at twilight. But my job is never done. They see me by the graves now. They see me, I'm so old.
The sun shone down on me As I crossed the street And I saw a stranger wave to me And I smiled and carried on with my day.
I was an angel of brilliance, Who dropped onto Earth. Forced to smile at pain, And burn each drop of rain. But somehow, a Guardian Angel found me, Secured, She flew with me.
Darkness falls over me. Moonlight not enough to see. I can hear them whispering. I can feel them rustling. Shadows drifting in the night. Hiding from me, out of sight. Waiting for the perfect time.
