#nightdwellers I could feel him hunting me, drifting behind in the devil's darkness. His breath was shallow, excited yet muted. My heels clicked on cobbled ground, I relished the sound.
I walk amid the lamplight. Of these quiet city streets. I'll politely tip my hat. To strangers that I meet. But I only search for food. The liquid that I need. To purge the darkest lust.
They feast on weak minds, lurking in the shadows, waiting to overthrow them. They emerge from the darkness and infest the brain, poisoning it with black thoughts.
I can hardly believe its come to hiding in alcoves as I wait for my prince charming to come, but as the figure approaches, I realize I'm on my own.
