The winter nights are here And the moon is cold and grey. It smiles down mirthlessly As night turns into day. The snowflakes race around, The dance and play and skip.

Trees of dark black gnarled old wood. Ancient spirits, voices misunderstood. The forests sways and creaks with the wind. That whistles down from deep in the glen. It comes from the north.

I want to be a snowman, A body made of ice, Live in a cheerful garden, 'Neath starry skies at night.
This year i'll leave a breadcrumb trail to where i've strung up some mistletoe and see if i'm followed there.
Snowflakes dancing, Across the midnight sky, Pure white acrobats, Spinning and twirling by. Laying down to rest, On the crisp and dewy grass, Sparkling quilt of white, Now, falling thick and fast.

I look forward to. The white-gold of. The first snow. Of winter, a shock,. Raw, leaving scars. On the land with. It's freeze-thaw-repeat,. Gloves on fingers,. Boots on feet,. Deep cold seeping in.
I saw a little while ago that my Opuss was filled with snow related poems. I love snow and it got me in the mood to write a snow related poem too.
