(read part three first)

He stared at his parents agitated and angry. Why? Why? He thought. He didn't blame his parents for being worried but he hated that they had. Now I can't do anything but run, or give in. He thought. He disliked both ideas and put them to the side. He stared into the shadows around him. He could see a faint twinkle of stars outside the window. In a lab he was yet again. Tests. Tests. Tests. They did tests on him all day and almost all night. He gazed around. Why? " he has a health condition, as you know," they had said, " we are trying to help him to recover and get back to life." That was untrue. He knew it. They wanted the power. They wouldn't listen. "it's a disease not a weapon!" he had yelled. " No boy! It's power!" the general had responded. The same manor every time that he warned him. Matt climbed out of bed only to be pulled back by pipes and wires that buried into his skin. They knew his name, age, date of birth, everything.

At night he ripped the wires from his skin. He walked past the curtains that surrounded his bed in the ward. Peaking rounds the corner to check for danger first. None. He strolled out. I need to get out. Escape start fresh. A new life. For a fifteen year old who had never liked to leave home, this was big. Very big. He walked out of the ward. There stood a nurse. She was the same sort of hight as him and wore a mask to protect her from diseases. What she didn't know was that the biggest disease was just about to hit her. Matt approached with caution. Don't kill her. Knock her out. He crept behind the woman. He then hit her in. She fell down to the floor and Matt jumped back worrying that someone would hear. And so he took the mask and the green apron she wore. And then walked calmly out to the nearest elevator. Military hospitals were strange places. Hospitals one floor and then there were guards. Guards everywhere. He was cautious and planned ahead. The elevator stopped. "ID please!" a please officer said. He ran. There was a window directly in front of him. Keep calm. Keep calm. He jumped. Keep calm. Keep calm. He fell some twenty feet then landed with a thud and unnatural lurch in his knees. He looked back and then ran.
