ceiling big and heavy. Large pipes and ventilation shafts crawled across it. Piles of paper littered floors and desks. Filing cupboards burst at the draws. Racks of electrical equipment lay screwen and destroyed. A bench at the far end held the light. A dim, blue, light. The only light. The light was crystalline and glowed a white light in the middle. It floated in the air. Levitating on nothingness. It flickered off. On again. On. Then it faded and fell to the floor shattering into tiny shards of crystal. A deep scream sounded. Shouting erupted. And guns fired.

"England, France, Germany, Russia, America, Brazil, South Africa and Italy. They all wanted it, well everyone wanted it. But these eight were the only ones who could search who could try. They were the only ones who could afford it you see. " It all started when I was a lad. Probably only a few years of age. But the light was what they wanted. The power it could have. It was found hundreds of years ago. 2269 I do believe. It was to be the ultimate source of power. It would be there in times of need. But... It was too powerful. Many died trying to control and use it as a sustainable source of power. No. It could not be done. Until fifty years ago when a young Italian lad called Leonardo D'silva found a solution to the problem. It fitted all the evidence and so the dream was re-founded. He took the light to a secret location of which no one, absolutely no one, but him new of. But he failed. He miscalculated one small thing. And so out of our solar system we were hurled. Through a black hole. The light saved us from being ripped apart but set us next to no sun. Lots of stars but none were close enough to give us light. We were stuck in darkness. Stars. But no more than that. Only the light, lost in the depths of our planet, keeping us from freezing to death."
