Ryan - 10th August

His mouth was dry again. "Martin, get another round in!" he called to the bar man, loosening his tie, and scanning the bar, inspecting the regulars mixed in with the few new people that invaded the pub on a Friday. Sally was working tonight, in the pub across the road. It was one of the reasons he was in this one. He just couldn't bare to go over there where she'd watch him like a hawk, inspecting every little move, and embarrassing him in front of his friends. Since he'd got his new job, they'd barely seen each other, and when they did she acted like his mother... And he couldn't stand his mother. Taking the beer tray over to the table he listened to the conversation going on between Jerry and Simon.

"Yeah, so I say to her 'honey, I don't feel like it tonight' and roll over. 'cause it killed me. But I wanted to give her a taste of her own medicine." Jerry explained. Ryan smirked. "Sure Jerry, we all know you're just not enough to keep up with Megan." he laughed, and Simon joined in. Jerry scowled. "Is Sally reading those fifty shades of grey books? Bet you couldn't keep up either." Jerry asked, making Simon laugh too. "See this is why I'm still single, I can have it when I want with who I want. None of this relationship crap." what Simon had said put a large grin on both Jerry's and Ryan's face. "Pick a girl then up at the bar, let's see this 'master' in 'action'." Jerry gave him the ultimatum.

Simon frowned. Scanning the arses of the group of girls that were facing the bar attempting to flirt with Martin to get free drinks. "The brunette over there." Simon inspected further. "Tough one Simon, you could have taken the easy option and gone with the cheap looking blonde" Ryan laughed. Simon had no chance. Simon raised his eyebrow. "Watch and learn boys... Watch and learn."

Ryan watched as Simon went up to the bar, and ordered in another round for their table. But constantly kept glancing over at the pretty brown haired woman he'd picked out. He'd caught her eye, and she took the eye candy bait, and watched him carry the drinks over to our table. Her eyes settling on each of our faces. Ryan had to stifle a laugh when Simon gave the girl a 'You know you want this' grin, which was short lived as Jerry's phone rang.

Ryan knew what was happening here. Megan needed to car, so Jerry was going home. And where Jerry went, Simon went too. They each took it in turns to stay sober and drive. "Looks like we'll have to save this spectacle for tomorrow night guys. Megan needs the car. Her sisters freaking out over the divorce again, and is making threats." Jerry explained. Whatever was going in with his wife's life was clearly taking a tole on him. "See you guys tomorrow night. Someone had best stay and finish these drinks." Ryan said, cheeky grin on his face. He honestly just couldn't be bothered to move. "See you later, mate." Simon through over his shoulder back to Ryan, who nodded.

He didn't know when it happened exactly but it must have been between finishing Jerrys pint and starting Simons. The bundle of girls had moved over, and had taken up the empty seats that surrounded him. Simons girl, taking pride of place, next to him. Her low top kept commanding his attention. Why didn't Sally dress like that? He thought, resting his arm lazily around the back of the girl. Her friends noticed, giggled and made excuses to leave. "So," the brunette said, trying to strike up a conversation in the silence that had pulled them in. "What's your name?" she asked. "Jack." he lied, he couldn't quite decide why. Maybe walking in another mans shoes would be more comfortable for a while. "I'm Jessica. Nice to meet you Jack. So do you live locally?" her eyes bore into him, with the intensity that spoke the same words as Simons grin... But successfully. "Nope. Just here on business. Yourself?" he lied again. Last thing he really wanted is her trying to go back to his. "Why don't I show you?" she asked. Rubbing his thigh as she whispered in his ear. He could feel himself rising. "Sure, why not." all thoughts of Sally had disappeared. There was only one thing he wanted now, and it had everything to do with that girl naked.
