Chapter 1
I was walking through the woods, lantern in my right hand, camera in my left. I was looking for something, just didn't know what. I heard a crack. I turned around quickly, but quietly. Then I saw something. It was black, and fuzzy. I came closer. Once I got closer, I saw it had bright yellow eyes, and sharp teeth. I screamed, and found myself laying in my bed.
I heard more screaming, coming from my little sister's, Kiki's, room. I quickly ran to her room and saw her staring at her fish tank.
"What's wrong, Kiki?"
She looked at me, tears rolling down her cheek.
"Gizmo is... dead!"
I looked at her fish tank, and saw Gizmo, her fish, upside down, looking dead.
"Oh... I'm sorry, Kiki!"
I give her a big hug, then hear my mom yelling for breakfast.
"Come on Kiki. Maybe breakfast will bring your mind off of Gizmo for a while."
She sniffled, and answered with a simple "Ok."
We walked down the hallway, bacon and eggs scent filling our noses.
