CHAPTER 9 When we arrived. A member of staff led us up the stairs and showed us what room we could use. It was a big white room with a small make up desk and a huge open door that led onto a balcony. There was also a cream sofa next to the desk. "Here you are!" John said, the member of staff. He left the room and we walked towards the desk. "Sit down." Julie said politely "We've got ages till the wedding, the ceremony's at half ten!" I said. Vicky grinned, fiddling with my hair. Julie blushed and then said "Not 'a lot' of time, it's already half eight!"
"Yeah we've got like 2 hours." Vicky said, now brushing my hair.
"Will you stop that!" I snapped. Vicky looked startled. "Sorry, I'm just nervous."
"That's ok." she smiled. We then decided to give me a make over at half nine. So at half nine I sat back down at the desk, while Vicky did my hair. Julie sat quietly on the sofa as not to crowd Vicky. When Vicky had finished Julie took her place. She gave my face a brush with foundation and then did my eye make up. Just as she was doing my lips, my mum and dad walked in. Without looking at them Julie said "Wait! Don't disturb my master piece!" so my mum and dad walked over and sat next to Vicky on the sofa. Two minutes later, when she had finished my make up Julie said "You look wonderful!" Vicky and my parents agreed. I stared at my self in the mirror. A smile creeped across my face. "Thanks so much Julie and Vicky!" "Don't mention it!" they giggled "Hi mum. Hi dad. Your both early?" I observed by looking at the time. They nodded "Well we wanted to give something to you." dad announced
"We hope you like them." mum said handing me something in a red small velvet box. I looked confused. As I opened it I knew everyone could see my smile. "There beautiful!" I gasped. They were a pair of earrings, in the shape of a diamond. Inside the silver frame was a clear purple stone. "I love them so much thank you!" I added putting them on "I'm glad you like them." dad said. Julie coughed, impatiently. "It's quarter past ten!" she announced "We have a bride to dress!" Mum and dad hurried out. on the cliff. Vicky ran out the room but was quickly back again. In her arms was the dress. I breathed deeply. Vicky and Julie helped me get the dress on and Julie gave me a bunch of red roses as my bouquet. "Thank you!" I breathed slowly. They then disappeared to get into their purple strapless bridesmaid dresses. They came back and once i had pit my shoes on they then led me down the stairs. Dad was standing at the restaurant door. "Ready?" he asked "Nope!" I whispered "Just breathe, you'll do fine!" he comforted. I then started to hear 'Gracious' by Ben Howard playing in the background. I suddenly realised that I was already walking out the restaurant. Rows and columns of chairs surrounded me as I walked on a white carpet. At the end of the carpet was a small white arch way covered in red roses. There he was. Max. He wore a black suit with a white shirt underneath. Dad kissed me on the cheek and I stood facing Max as the registrar began to speak. I couldn't hear her though. I was gazing into Max's eyes. When Max said his vows I listened intently to his every word. When it was my turn I said, still looking into his eyes "I, Corrine Queedy , take you, Max Weddet , to be my husband and to share both good times and bad times, side by side. I give you my hand, and my heart, and hope that my love will always be a safe haven for you. Just as this circle is without end, my love for you is eternal. Just as it is made of a permanent metal, my commitment to you is forever."
"I now pronounce you husband and wife!" said the registrar. We kissed each other and then hugged tightly. The cheer from the guests rang in my ears. Hand in hand, we walked down the aisle with confetti being thrown over us. "I love you!" I whispered "I love you too!" Max answered back.
