On this balmy July evening, I wonder Could I love you more? Or thank you for finally showing me Just what my heart is for?
It's not something to be played with, To be broken or abused- That's happened too many times before, And left me broken, crushed and bruised...
Wondering why I gave away, Something so precious and so rare Only to have the love I proffered, Tossed back without a care
So although we've had our ups and downs And at times, almost didn't pull through, I can now no longer imagine A 'Me' that's without 'You'
Don't get me wrong-I'm independent I don't believe our two halves make a whole, Instead we compliment each other In mind, body and soul
So on May 3rd next year, I'll take the jump and change my life The date is set, my heart is ready To say 'I Do' ! And be your wife.
