Been away from Opuss lately Sad to see upon my return The cut & paste brigade are rife Taking it in turns To convince us it's their own work Claim praise when it's not due Like after like, rise up the rankings I'm sick of it-aren't you??
Don't give a toss if I'm number one or one thousand I just like to write, that's all But pisses me off when I give someone praise To find it was never their work at all
Even worse, are the sickly sweet comments Of how hard they worked, or how long it took What? To steal someone else's artwork or words From an internet site or a book?
Copyright flouted, originality touted False adoration, acclaim & applause If only they'd stop, take a minute to think, of the original author & pause...
Because you're only kidding yourselves in the end It's obvious you'll get found out Your original work just doesn't match up Compared to the parts you paste and 'cut' out
At the very least, give mention and be honest As to the source of your latest great piece Or sooner or later, followers will get wise Then surely your time on Opuss will cease...
