I make self-deprecating jokes quite often. The purpose of these jokes is to put people at ease and teach them to laugh at themselves. The purpose is not for people to look down on me and make fun of my faults. A self-deprecating joke is not Hannah-the-dunce, it is Hannah's-not-too-conceited-to-laugh-at-herself. I'm angry. Sorry for all the ranting.
