It hurts when you're being genuine and giving opinions and thoughts, when suddenly someone criticizes you for it. Saying how you shouldn't be so proud or 'riak' which in Islam means arrogant. And to have that respectable person say that about me in Twitter is really upsetting. Not once did I think about being a show off, but only wanted to share my experience in a matter I felt so connected to. About how my generation is being ungrateful for all things we have been blessed with. And to get a reaction where I'm told to keep quiet just because my family's in a better place than most people, is really devastating. Will there ever be a community in this world where we never judge others for their intentions that we're unsure of? Where we don't criticize each other and insult them so openly? Why can't we be courteous and say what we really mean instead of tweeting about what an asshole that person was?
This world could do with a community like opuss. Where everything you say or think is accepted and people share their emotions out of respect and tolerance.
