Alice knew that they were waiting for her under the bed...the dust bunnies, that is. She would get after them occasionally with a mop, broom, or vacuum, but you know what they say about how rabbits multiply, and proliferate they did.
The balls of dust not only multiplied but formed colonies, establishing outposts under the couch, beneath the stove, in the closet, and in every corner. They sent ambassadors to one another's groups, forming trade agreements, and signing mutual defense pacts, all unknown to Alice.
Despite their evolution, assaults on their numbers continued by the human. Deciding that their commonalities exceeded their differences and that there was strength in unity, the dust bunnies decided to strike against their human oppressor.
And so it was one day that when Alice went to begin her cleaning ritual, she was met in the kitchen not by dust bunnies but by an enormous dust rhino, the aggregate of all uncleanliness in her house united by determination in a common need. Alice had only time enough to scream before the great beast charged her...
