Mopsy hovered ghost-like in the air before Agent Takata, a gaseous creature unlike his liquid predecessor. The black, wraith-like translucent demon sported the same burning red eyes as his recently-banished brother, but also carried a spiked mace in his paw. He began twirling the ball of it menacingly at Takata.
"Sorry about your brother," offered Takata, "but life is a mist that vanishes. And so, for that matter, are YOU!," Takata shouted, snatching a large box fan from just within his doorway. Takata aimed the fan in Mopsy's direction and hit the "High" button, causing the fan to kick into overdrive. The resultant blast of air caused the spectral ghost to lose cohesion and dissipate before his tenuous substance was scattered away.
"Filthy windbag!," Takata muttered. He then noticed that the third member of the unholy trinity had arrived.
"Cottontail, last but not least!," remarked Takata to the creature of earth which stood before him, a wicked-looking hatchet in his clawed hand. There were no tricks or easy defenses that Takata could use against this golem-like thing; he would have to rely on his fox-like reflexes and agility as well as his formidable mastery of the martial arts.
The battle raged for several minutes afterwards, with Cottontail swinging his hatchet at Takata but getting parried or passing through empty air as the vulpine weaved and dodged. "Your attacks are no better than those of a clumsy child," Takata declared to his enemy before adroitly decapitating him with his katana. The head of Cottontail thunked inertly to the ground while the still-standing body became laced with cracks and fissures before crumbling into dozens of smaller pieces.
The assassins defeated, Takata realized that they were but the agents of an unseen foe. He had a call to make...an extremely long-distance one.
