I looked through all my books, To see what I could find, I found a book of Children's rhymes, Though some were stuck in my mind.
Like 'twinkle, twinkle little star', A classic children's rhyme, It has been sang for many years, A poem for bedtime.
I then saw 'Humpty Dumpty', Described as an egg, But if you look back in the poem, The word 'egg' was never said!
'Jack and Jill' is out next poem, This one is rather strange, There are many different versions, Each one with a change.
We had many different rhymes, That really made no sense, We were so young we didn't care, Now, it's the past tense.
