Chapter 3 Falling for him I stared at the screen, still shocked. Paige replied to his email, Paige gave him advice, Paige is against me! She knows I hate him, however apparently that didn't matter to her. I groaned miserably and Lily looked at me, concerned, although she said nothing. At 7:00pm, I went home, still angry and irritated. As I passed the park, I wondered what Paige had been thinking, I hardly noticed the cars speeding past me. Just as I turned the corner, I heard someone shout my name. "Scarlett!" I recognised this voice. I rolled my eyes, this was the last person I wanted to see right now. Leon. "What?" I asked through gritted teeth. "What are you doing wandering around the streets at the time of night?" he responded. "It's 7:00pm! That's hardly late! What are 'you' doing wondering round the streets anyway?" I challenged. "I met my friends at the park and you never answered my question," he said. "I went to Lily's house. I'm going home," He nodded and grinned at me. "Isn't this a bit late for little Scarlett?" he laughed, in a baby voice. "I'm three months older than you actually!" I replied, smiling. He grinned and waved. "Night, Scarlett. Be safe!" he added sarcastically. "Haha!" I laughed also sarcastically. He walked away, looking satisfied at our conversation. I was honestly shocked, I had actually had a conversation with Leon and hadn't really insulted him. I suppose he wasn't so bad... "Hi Scarlett, how was your day?" my dad asked. "Great," I kind of lied. "Did you have a nice time at Lily's house?" my mum questioned. "Yeah," I sighed. "Good..." my mum muttered, ironing a jumper. After informing my mum that I had homework, I went upstairs and sprawled along my bed. I was actually telling the truth, I did have homework, although it didn't have to be handed in until next Monday. It was not until I stood up that I realised I had a horrible headache, I groaned and lay back down on my bed. This was the last thing I needed right now...
