Chapter 6

"Hello? Do you need help?"

"YES! OVER HERE! PLEASE!" Mia shouted, her eyes wide.

A fifty year old woman hurried round the corner, she was horrified at the sight of Rose.

"What happened?" the woman asked.

"She was stabbed! Help her!" Mia begged.

The woman grabbed her bag and began to look through it, her hand and shaking. She pulled out a small, glass bottle with a clear liquid inside. Mia watched in amazement as she poured a drop into Rose's wound and it healed instantly.

"Your probably wondering who I am. My name is Mary and I am-like you- a memory," the woman murmured.

Mia smiled and nodded.

"I am Mia and this is Rose," Mia whispered.

Suddenly, Rose's eyes opened and she flinched, the liquid stung. Confusion crossed her face, as she gazed into Mary's kind face. Rose slowly sat up, and pressed a hand to her forehead, it really hurt.

"Rose!" Mia squealed, giving her a hug.

Rose gasped as the memories came flooding back to her, the ghost, the knife, blood. Her head span and she lay back down and closed her eyes. Mia and Mary waited for a few minutes, until Rose felt better.

"Who are you?" Rose asked Mary.

"This is Mary and she saved you with a strange clear liquid," Mia answered, before Mary had time to open her mouth.

Rose was speechless.

"Hmm, it seems like your still not well. I will take you back to my house for a hot chocolate and I will explain it all. It's quite a long walk, do you think you can manage it?" Mary asked.

"I think so," Rose whispered.

Mary and Mia walked slowly, either side of Rose, and talked quietly as they walked. The sky was beginning to lighten, it must have been 3:00am. Rose sighed as she (yet again) remembered how tired she was. After an hour of walking, they reached Mary's house. It was a small cottage with overgrown flowers outside the front door. Rose sighed and her eyes were nearly closing.

"Maybe you should rest before I explain, come upstairs, I will show you to your room," Mary said gently.

"Thank you," Rose replied, gratefully.

Rose collapsed on the bed and within seconds she was asleep...
