Chapter 10

"Hey Mia!" Rose sang as she ran outside.

Mia was lying on the grass making a daisy chain, humming a tune to herself. Surprisingly, it was hot outside today.

"Hiya!" Mia replied in the same tone.

"Do you want to come to the shop with me?" Rose asked.

"Sure," Mia said, abandoning her daisy chain.

They informed Mary that they were going to the shop to look round and then set off straight away.

"I was thinking we could get Mary some flowers or something, to thank her," Rose suggested.

"Great idea! But...we have no...money," Mia sighed.

"Oh...right...yeah. We will go and look round anyway," Rose decided.

"Ok,"

After 10 minutes of walking they saw the shop. It was quite large with many different isles. They looked at all the different flowers, lilies, roses and other flowers. Rose couldn't take her eyes of the white roses, she laughed to herself, it would remind Mary of Rose.

"Hello girls. Are you here alone?" the shopkeeper asked kindly.

"Were staying with Mary, she lives about 10 minutes from here," Mia answered.

"Oh! Really!? Mary is my sister! We came through the shed together, both memories..." the shopkeeper said, her eyes wide.

"Wow..." Rose whispered.

"Of course, if your my sister's guests, you may take whatever you wish...free!" the shopkeeper smiled.

"Wow..." Rose repeated.

The shopkeeper chuckled.

"I'm Claire by the way!" the shopkeeper said.

"I'm Mia and this is Rose," Mia told her, smiling.

"Thank you so much for letting us take whatever we would like..free!!!" Rose said gratefully.

"I'll leave you girls to look round, bye!" Claire said.

"Bye," the girls replied.

Carefully, Rose picked up the white Roses and checked them for any dead petals or leaves. They were perfect. Mia picked up a box or milk chocolates and placed them in the basket. After saying goodbye to Claire, the girls left.
