I dived underneath the ocean,
In one swift, fluent motion.
The cold making me shiver and shake,
Keeping me alert and awake.
I looked at all the creatures below,
Deeper and deeper down they go.
Into the depths of the ocean blue,
Huge caves, the coloured fish swam into.
A shoal of fish in a race,
The one at the front setting a pace.
I explored the water all around me,
The pool, the ocean, the calming sea.
This was a 'once in a lifetime' thing,
I was so happy, I felt like I needed to sing.
I opened my mouth but bubbles came out,
If I wasn't in water, I'd have laughed without a doubt.
Then I woke up from my dream with a sigh,
It wasn't real, it made me want to cry.
My dream gave me a great idea,
Instead of crying, it made me want to cheer.
I could dive into the ocean for real this time,
That would be amazing, the best, sublime.
