I want to be a storyteller. I want to be the girl that can capture pictures and colours and faces and ideas like photos in an album, develop them in a darkroom deep in the grey matter of her mind and project each image into the skies. I want to be a storyteller. I want to be the girl with dancing hands and the soft voice that is only used by the veterans that know your voice is the only tool that you need to turn anyone's world upside down and the right way round again, that know no word can ever be wasted where a word is not needed. That know that sometimes silence sounds far better. I want to be a storyteller. I want to tell of pirates with short names and long beards and Russian ballerinas so beautiful and graceful you'd never guess every step is hurting. I want to tell of people with different names that live in different countries and are all of different religions and different ideas because sometimes it's nice to see the same picture with a different effect. Maybe I'll tell you of a girl that lives in the countryside and has hands too small and a head too curious and always falls too fast and too hard and takes too long to get up, because I know that nobody gets to see the picture with my effect.

And if I am a storyteller... And when I am a storyteller, I'll leave no picture uncaptured, no hands left undancing and no silence polluted. I'll leave no pirate "yarr!" un-yarred, no chapter of someone different's life unspoken.

And maybe when I'm a storyteller, I'll tell you my story.
