( I'll just shorten it for now) I excused myself to the bathroom. Casey looked worried. I sighed as I sprinted the bathroom. New school and I had already broken a rule. I took my phone out of my pocket. As I stated at it, it vibrated and beeped.
*New message. Dad: Meet me at home now. You have my permission..or whatever. h u r r y .*
My eyes widened with horror, as I thought the worst. Tears clouded my vision as I ran out of the bathroom.
I searched the hall with my eyes. There they were. I focused on then and ran forward, dodging lockers swinging by and people walking in the way. "Where..Can.. Isignout?" I puffed as I asked Casey and Rose. "The office.... Why??"they questioned, grabbing my hand and leading me to the office. "Uhh.." I say.
Casey's eyes pleaded with me, 'What's wrong?', they said,'What are you hiding?'. I looked down. Tears clouding my vision.
We reached the office. I walked in, with the two girls following behind. "How may I help you?" asked the receptionist. "I need to leave." I say. "Why?" she questioned. I had no idea what to say. I didn't want the girls to worry. "I'm sick. I have.... Flu.." I 'cough' she squints at me. Casey piped up. "Miss the nurse said he could go home now. His mum is waiting for him. I smiled because of her thoughtfulness. But then cringed at the little she knew. "Mum" I sighed almost silently. "Oh okay.. You may leave, just sign here." she said. I signed and walked out...
