Dark, creepy. Just two of the words to describe this bleak, maze of a forest. The green of the leaves were more of a black. The brown on the trunk was more grey and the soil was dark grey. It wasn't fine and sandy. It was clumpy and, in some places, like gloop. Not even a drop if sun can penetrate the dark cover of the leaves, leaving the forest in the constant cover if gloom. The bushes are dying and the leaves are falling. Scattered on the ground are guts of rabbits and dead birds, rats, mice and squirrels. After seeing them I wondered how long I was going to last...
