Chapter 1 In The Beginning

"OMG! You have to be kidding me!" Clawdia growled through gritted teeth. She pionted, angrily, to the picture of a band rocking out at O2. She stabbed a bony finger into the pictured drummers face. Lara leaned over Sandy to get a peek. "Great. Just what we need. To get turned down and then another band gets picked to 'rock out'," She huffed. I stared at the photo. "WTH. Why get worked up?" I asked. "REPUTATION! WE HAVE A CROWD TO PLEASE, GIRL!" Clawdia barked. "Keep calm, Claw," Lara whispered in her ear. Claw nodded stiffly. Lara patted her head. Claw barked contentedly. I laughed. Sandy didn't . She was acting real strange. I decided she needed a trip to the park. "Sandy, wanna come to the park?" I asked. She nodded but didn't say anything. She didn't even smile. I pushed the oak chair away from the table. I bounded to the metallic black coat stand and shoe rack. As Sandy stuffed her blonde curls into an aqua blue beanie, I slipped on my purple tartan Converse, grabbed my navy blue short-mac and my navy blue beret. After a few hair tweaks, I was picture perfect and ready to go.

Chapter 2 The Boy

The cool crisp air enveloped me like a pencil in a hand. I closed my eyes and inhaled. It smelt a lot better than burnt toast and burnt eggs. Sandy followed. Her blue mini skirt, baby blue blouse, navy blue beanie and pale blue skin made her look like a school girl dipped in blue food colouring. Her knee high boots moved across the concrete slower than usual. I crossed the road with more grace than a swan until wet grass met my Converse. Sweet relief, Sandy, sweet relief, I thought. I looked up and my eyes met a boys face. He had light brown hair, blue eyes and full lips. If I had to choose a word to describe him it would be 'wow'. "Hey, are you Soraya from The Ghoul Band?" He asked, smiling hopefully. "Y-yes. Yes I am," I smiled. "Wow. Can I get your autograph?" He asked. "Um, sure!" I beamed. "And your number?" One of his mates laughed, clearly kidding. But the boy in front of me only said,"Please?". I smiled, hoping that it would show that I wanted to give him my number. I scribbled it down. "And yours?" I asked, handing him a tissue. "You want it?" He asked, shocked. I nodded, sheepishly. He smiled like a child visiting Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. He scribbled it down and handed it to me. He grabbed my hand before it could disappear into my jean pocket. He looked me in the eye. "Call me soon, okay, Soraya?" He asked, panic rising in his voice. "Of course...?" I asked, wanting to know his name. "James. Usually called 'Jay'," He smiled. "Good bye, Jay." I leaned in, swerved round and kissed him on the cheek.
