I couldn't tell Ben; I din't know how to. But I had to tell someone! This was serious. Quietly I pulled my phone out my pocket. I looked for Beth and waited ( holding my breath ) while it rung. Part of me hoped she wouldn't pick up but she did!
"Hi!"
"Hi, er, Beth…"
"Alice! Hi, how are you? And Ben? What's France like?"
"Yeah-yeah, it's, er, good." I answered distractedly.
"Are you ok?"
"Yeah… well no. Beth there is a slight problem!"
"What?"
"I, er…"
"Alice what is it?"
"Beth… I'm pregnant!"
