I felt like an angel, soaring through the air. That is until I landed on a rock-hard ledge. I groaned at the pain, although, I guess I should be used to it by now. I don't think I fell that far down, but the pain still shot through me like I had fallen 100ft. It was a struggle to get back on my feet, as I was still handcuffed. When I did finally manage to clamber onto my feet, I turned round, and saw Kay standing right in front of my eyes. She had cuts and scrapes all over her, but apart from that, she looked just fine! She flung her arms round my neck and hugged me, like she hadn't seen me in years.
"C'mon, proper hug please."
She noticed my cuffs.
"Ah.", She said, examining The cuffs, "Well, no time to get those beauties off. Look!" She pointed to a water pipe.
We made our way down the pitch black tunnel.
"Why? Why is Jonny so selfless?" I cried, "He could have just let it hit me, but NO!"
Kay laughed "He's always been like that ever since I first met him, that's when Robbie showed up..."
"Why did you date a guy who you new could treat you like that?" I asked.
"I... I don't know. Love does crazy things to ya, you know?"
"Yeah, I know." I answered.
Of course I knew, I mean, I smashed into a metal pole, got tie to a chair by a crazy ex-boyfriend and just dived of a cliff! All for love! The pipe seemed to be getting smaller, tighter. It was more of a struggle to get through now, especially because of the water.
We got to the end off the tunnel, where the water was now up to our knees. There where some metal bars blocking our way out.
My wrists had become quite sweaty, and I managed to slip one off.
"Bingo!", I said, pleased with myself, "If I can clip this cuff to this pole, like so..."
I clipped the cuff to the pole, and the other I still had on. PULL! We went flying backwards, but it worked!
We clamoured up the ladder to the manhole, to find St Mary's Hospital! It was the closest hospital to, well, anywhere! We decided to head inside and ask about Jonny. I bet we looked a right state!
When we got inside, we asked the secretary if Jonny Kennedy had been admitted. But she said they brought him here, but then he got moved to Stateside Bay Royal Hospital. Stateside is where people go if they have had LIFE THREATENING injuries. I guess Kay was thinking that to, as she started to cry again.
"What if he's... he's..." Kay cried.
"Don't say that!" I cried, looking Kay in the eyes, "This is Jonny, I mean, he probably bribed the coppers to take him there cos of the sexy nurses!"
Kay burst out laughing, "Yep, that does sound like our Jonny!"
At that moment my phone began to ring. I pulled it out of my pocket to see who it was. It read: JFK Calling. JFK stands for Jonny Frank Kennedy. I answered right away.
"Jonny? Are you OK? Where are you? Why didn't you call? I can't belie--"
"Hello Sir.", A voice answered, "Mr Kennedy has been moved from St Mary's, to Stateside Bay Royal Hospital."
When the cop had told us the ward name and what floor to find him on, we flagged down a Taxi from a side road and we were off. We had to keep in mind that we were on the run from the police, so every time we passed a police car, we put our heads down. The driver asked us what was going on, and Kay simply answered:
"It's a game, you never heard of it?"
When we arrived, we walked up to the third floor to find him. When we got up there, there where two police officers waiting outside Jonny's room. Kay dragged me behind a pillar and sighed.
"We can't run from them. We'll just get in more trouble."
So we shuffled up to the door, hand in hand, with our heads down. We looked up at the cop, and he spoke.
"Look, if you think we're gonna put you in a cell, then your wrong."
He let us off with a warning, for trying to "escape justice" and let us go in and see him. He was sitting up holding his phone so tight, his knuckles were turning red.
He saw us standing the door and smiled.
