I was going to use my day off to get some practice for Saturday.
But I had to come back early because of the rain.
When I waked in to the living room to watch TV, Kay was sitting on the couch, feet up, on the Laptop.
"What ya doin'?" I asked, looking over her shoulder.
"Oi!", She cried, shutting the lid, "It's for your room, if you must know."
She walked into the kitchen to make some tea for Jonny, leaving the Laptop on the couch.
I followed her in.
"I'm not telling you.", She said boiling the kettle, "You'll NEVER get it out of me."
"Yeah?", I said cunningly, "Is that right?"
I began to tickle her, while she protested with laughter.
"Haha!", She snorted with laughter, "No stop! Push off! Red! I Mean it!"
"Still not gonna tell me?" I asked.
"Sure."
"Go on."
"On the 25th!" She said walking away with the tea and biscuits in her hand.
I couldn't hold it in, I was going to tell her tonight.
It was 9:00pm, Jonny was still working on my room, and Kay was at the shops. There was a long line of Zs coming from my room.
I heard a car pull up outside the flat. It was Kay, back from the shops. I went out to greet her.
"Lovely weather!", I joked, smiling, "Need a hand?"
We dragged the bags of mystery inside, in the pouring rain. We collapsed on the doorstep in a laughing heap.
"De ja vu!" Laughed Kay.
We picked up the many bags and plonked them down on the sidewalk.
"Kay?", I asked timidly "I need to tell you something..."
"Anything."
"I... I... I... Well... Look, there's no easy way to put this... I like you. Like, LIKE you."
She looked shocked. She ran to out of the door and slammed it behind her. I ran after her, I couldn't let this chance slip through my fingers.
At this point it was tipping with rain, a real storm.
"YOU DON'T WANT ME!" She screamed. "YOU'RE TOO GOOD FOR ME! I DON'T DESERVE YOU!"
"YOU'RE THE ONLY PERSON I'LL EVER WANT!" I cried.
"SCREAM IT TO THE WORLD!"
I took a deep breath and whispered:
"I love you Kay."
"Why'd you whisper it to me?" She asked, confused.
"BECAUSE YOU ARE MY WORLD, KAY!"
We kissed in the moonlight, like nothing else mattered, but us.
