What was going on?! Ever since I had met Jonny and Kay my life had been spiralling out of control. Although that wasn't necessarily a bad thing...

I had to give a statement to the police, which was... Enlightening. I also had to describe what Robbie was wearing. Which, at the time, wasn't my main concern. I mean, can you imagine me standing up in court and saying:

"So he chased me all the way onto a rooftop, wearing a rather fetching blue polo shirt."

Anyway, it turned out that Robbie was their best customer! Apparently he had several charges of assault to his name, which didn't really surprise me. We walked along the pier, like we did the day we all met. But things had changed since then. Jonny was on crutches, me and Kay... Well, I don't think any of us knew what was going on in that particular department. Not even me or Kay. When it started to get dark, we got into the van and drove home. Well, I did. Since Jonny had his arm in a cast, which we had all signed the previous afternoon, it was impossible for him to drive. We weren't technically breaking the law, not really. I could drive, yeah sure, I didn't have a licence to drive "legally", but I had the next best thing. Jonny's license! I parked in the rusty green trucks usual spot, two spaces from the wall, next to a red car with two flat tyres, and a motorcycle.

The flat looked like a house from 60 Minute Makeover! There were cans of paint dotted in random spots all over the room, an array of rainbow screwdrivers, the old doorknobs and some other DIY things that I don't really care to go into.

"Jesus Christ!", Sighed Jonny, "Look at the state of this place!"

He clearly saw the expressions on our faces.

"We need a maid." I said, rubbing my forehead.

"Don't look at me!" Kay cried, wandering into to the kitchen and putting the kettle on.

We stayed up late, talking.

"So how do you afford a place like this then Jonny?" I asked, curiously.

"Well, my parents brought it for me when they got there divorce finalised. As a sort of bribe, I guess." He answered, sipping his coffee.

We all went to bed about a half hour later. I was pretty cream-cracked after the whole, "Getting chased off a building" scenario. It was my turn to sleep on the couch tonight. We had ordered Jonny's bed online, so it was going to be a relief when it arrives!

I was finally about to drop off, when I heard footsteps. I always got very paranoid when it came to things like that. Luckily it was just Kay, I knew this because she walked past wearing her purple nighty. She tripped over the coffee table, and cursed under her breath. I couldn't help but laugh!

"Oi! Are you awake?" She hissed at me.

"No." I said sleepily.

"You little asshole!" She joked, bending down and brushing my hair away from my eyes.

Kay made us both a slice of jam on toast, and we ate it on the couch, at 4:21am. We looked at each other. She smiled at me and kissed me, I kissed her back. So there we were, now it was 4:23am. It was a disappointment when we broke apart.

"I'm going back to bed, and so are you. My room won't paint itself you know."

She got up off the couch and winked at me. Me. Red Hamlet. The happiest skater who ever lived.
