I opened my eyes to find the girl who was waving at me and the boy in the Hawaiian shirt looking down at me.
"Hey look! He's opening his eyes!" He said. His accent surprised me, he sounded... British!
"How ya feeling?" The waving girl asked.
"Sick.", I said, "Just sick."
I sat up properly for the first time since my fall and fell back down again with dizziness.
"Hey man stop!", The boy cried, "Easy big guy!"
They both tried to help me up, but we ended up in a heap on the ground laughing!
"Well, that went well!" I chuckled.
"Ooh sorry, let us introduce ourselves. I'm Kay and he's-."
But before she had a chance to finish, the boy leapt to his feet and cried:
"HEEERE'S JONNY!"
"Yeah, that." She sighed, ruffling his hair.
"And you are, stranger?" Asked Jonny.
"I'm Red." I said, embarrassed by my name.
"Well howdy-hi!" He said, quoting Mr Hankey from South Park.
So after introducing ourselves, we decided to get something to eat. When we arrived at KFC, I suddenly remembered the one thing I hadn't told them, I'm a vegetarian!
We got out lunch and sat down, Jonny INSTANTLY bagging the cushioned seat.
"Um, guys?," I said nervously, "I'm a...a... Well... Kinda... Sort of... I don't eat meat."
They both looked at me.
"Oooh! Great! More food for me then!" Jonny said grinning.
But Kay was more considerate.
"Oh wow!", She cried, "I don't have the will power to be one. I would if I could though.
This made me feel ALLOT better about myself.
"So you never eat meat then?" Asked Jonny, doing a vampire impression with his fries.
"Nope", I replied "Never."
When we had finished lunch we went back to the beach and walked along the Pier, laughing, joking and messing about. Kay suddenly linked hands with me and Jonny and said:
"Haha! Can't get away from me now suckers! Were BFF's now!"
My heart missed a beat. Its barley been hours, and I've smashed into a metal pole and made 2 awesome new friends.
"So now what?", I asked, "Do we just walk off into the sunset?"
